Hormone imbalance and
infertility are very often inter-connected with
one another. One of the common problems which a woman
can face due to hormonal imbalance is that she will
not be able to ovulate properly. Hormonal imbalance can
create havoc during the total process from ovulation to
menstruation in a woman’s body.
There are a number of hormones
produced in a woman’s body. Out of these some of them
are responsible for the fertility of a woman. In case
even if one of the hormones in the body is produced more
or less than the required quantity, then it can affect
the fertility of a woman. You don’t need to panic if you
are suffering from hormonal imbalance as it can be
detected and infertility can be prevented in most cases.
Some of the problems faced by a woman due to hormonal
imbalances are: abnormal cervical mucous, ovulatory
disorder, premature menopause and polycystic ovarian
syndrome
.
Some types of hormonal
imbalances which cause
infertility
The three glands which are related
with our hormonal balance are hypothalamus, thyroid and
pituitary glands. The hypothalamus gland is affected
very often by stress, diseases, medications and birth
control pills. The thyroid gland when affected can in
turn create problems with the ovulation process in a
woman’s body. And the pituitary gland too can affect the
ovulation process in the body.
Premature menopause occurs in
a woman because the ovaries are not producing enough
hormones to aid the process of ovulation and
menstruation. Sometimes androgens which are also know as
male hormones are produced in a large quantity in women,
then that too can hamper the process of ovulation.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is caused as a large
amount of male hormones are produced by the adrenal
glands and the ovaries. A woman suffering from this will
have her ovary filled with lots of immature follicles
which are not successful in generating eggs in the body.
Finally abnormal cervical mucus is a
condition due to which the cervical mucus becomes too
thick and doesn’t allow the sperm to go across during
ovulation.
Hormonal imbalance
can be controlled by following a holistic approach, thus
taking care of infertility
. This approach is the best way to
increase fertility as your problems are being treated
from within rather than giving you relief for a short
period of time. When there is a proper balance of the
physical, emotional and mental state of a person, it
aids the processes which balance the production of
hormones in our body. Thus holistic approach can help
your cause without needing to try any drugs or remedies
which often cause harmful side effects.
